Freshly Cut Orange TwistAnother Hendrick's Gin is a Scottish gin from Hendrick's and represents the first new permanent addition to the core Hendrick's range in several years. It was developed by Master Distiller Lesley Gracie at the Hendrick's Gin Palace in Girvan, where the house style is built through the unusual marriage of two different distillation methods: the Bennett pot still and the Carter-Head still. Like the original Hendrick's Gin, this expression retains the recognizable Hendrick's identity built around rose and cucumber, yet it introduces a clearly different aromatic direction through the addition of orange blossom and cacao.
The structure of Another Hendrick's remains rooted in the classic Hendrick's botanical approach. The base spirit is composed of a traditional selection of botanicals, to which the signature infusions of rose and cucumber are added after distillation. In this expression, orange blossom and cacao are introduced to expand the aromatic spectrum. The orange blossom brings a soft, luminous floral dimension, while cacao adds depth and a gentle bitterness that enhances the texture without introducing sweetness.
On the nose, the gin opens with a delicate floral bouquet, where rose and orange blossom are immediately noticeable, supported by a fresh vegetal note from cucumber. Juniper remains present but restrained, allowing the secondary botanicals to express themselves clearly. Subtle citrus nuances and light spice add further complexity. On the palate, the gin is smooth and layered. The initial impression is fresh and floral, followed by a rounded mid palate where cacao introduces a slightly bitter, almost creamy structure. The finish is clean and persistent, with floral, herbal and lightly citrus notes lingering in balance.
Another Hendrick's Gin is particularly suited to a classic gin and tonic, where its floral and cacao driven profile can be appreciated without overpowering garnishes. It also performs well in Martini variations and modern cocktails that highlight aromatic complexity and texture.
