Gins to love!

Naud Gin is produced by the Naud family, a historic distilling house established in the late nineteenth century and located in the Cognac region of France. The distillery operates in a restored grain mill surrounded by orchards and waterways, and continues to use traditional Charentais pot stills for its spirits. This environment and equipment shape the identity of the gin, which reflects both regional heritage and contemporary botanical craftsmanship.
The recipe is built around juniper, citrus fruits, and hibiscus. The juniper provides a classic resinous framework that anchors the profile. Citrus botanicals add brightness and lift, contributing fresh and zesty aromas. Hibiscus introduces a floral nuance and a gentle acidity that enhances the overall balance without dominating the botanical composition. Each ingredient is distilled separately using copper stills before being blended to create a precise and controlled aromatic structure.
On the nose, Naud Gin presents clear juniper supported by lively citrus notes and a subtle floral undertone. The palate is structured and moderately full, with an initial juniper presence followed by citrus zest and warm spice. The hibiscus contributes a delicate softness that rounds the mid-palate. The finish is clean, slightly spicy, and persistent, with the botanicals remaining well-defined.
This gin is suited to classic preparations such as a dry gin and tonic with a neutral tonic water, where its citrus and floral elements remain distinct. It also works effectively in cocktails that highlight its structure, including a martini or a citrus-forward shaken drink.
