Panda Gin Limited Edition Denis Meyers

Panda Gin Limited Edition Denis Meyers is the first collaboration between Panda Gin and Belgian artist Denis Meyers. Distilled and bottled in Belgium, this organic gin uses the same lychee-based recipe as the classic Panda Gin, with a botanical selection that includes juniper berries, lychee, cherry, orange zest, basil, rosemary and Chinese star anise, combined with pure water from the Hautes Fagnes. The edition is bottled at 40 percent alcohol by volume in 50 centilitre bottles and limited to 10,000 copies, of which a smaller number are hand-signed by the artist.

On the nose, the gin offers an immediate impression of ripe lychee and cherry, supported by the citrus brightness of orange zest. Behind this, juniper berries provide a classic resinous backbone, while basil and rosemary introduce herbal nuances. Chinese star anise adds a discreet aromatic note that contributes to the overall complexity without dominating the fruit.

On the palate, the attack is smooth and fruit-driven, with lychee and cherry taking the lead. The mid-palate develops a balance between the freshness of citrus, the structure of juniper and the herbal character of basil and rosemary. The contribution of star anise is felt as a gentle, aromatic undertone rather than a marked spice. The texture is supple and the finish is clean and of medium length, leaving an impression of fresh fruit supported by light herbal and citrus notes.

The gin is certified organic, made without added sugar, additives or artificial flavouring. It can be enjoyed neat or on ice, but also in a gin and tonic prepared with a neutral premium tonic water that allows the lychee, cherry and citrus notes to remain at the forefront. The bottle, decorated with Denis Meyers' characteristic graphic style, makes this edition suitable both for tasting and as a visually distinctive gift.
