Vording's Gin

Vording's Gin is produced by Studio Vørding in the Netherlands and stands out within the dry gin category through the deliberate use of cedar wood chips as a defining botanical element. The gin is distilled with a clear intention to combine classic gin structure with a distinct woody character, drawing inspiration from craftsmanship and material-focused design.

The botanical base follows a traditional framework built around juniper berries, coriander seeds and citrus peels, which establish a recognizable dry gin backbone. Cinnamon and orange add warmth and gentle sweetness, while the infusion of cedar wood chips introduces an aromatic woody dimension that is uncommon in contemporary dry gins.

On the nose, juniper is immediately present, supported by fresh citrus oils and subtle spice. Cedar wood contributes a dry, resinous aroma reminiscent of freshly cut wood, adding depth without overpowering the core botanicals. On the palate, the gin opens with a firm juniper-led structure, followed by bright citrus notes and mild fruitiness from orange. The cedar element develops gradually, bringing a dry, woody texture complemented by soft spice from cinnamon.
