1836 Organic Pink Gin is produced by Distillerie Radermacher, a Belgian distillery founded in 1836 and regarded as one of the oldest in the country. The gin forms part of the 1836 organic range, which is based on certified organic grain and developed in continuity with the distillery's long-standing traditions. In this pink expression, the historic house combines its classic organic gin profile with a cherry infusion to create a coloured and aromatically distinctive version that remains firmly rooted in the style of a juniper-led gin.

The spirit is built on a base of certified organic wheat distillate, to which a selection of botanicals is added, including juniper berries, orange peel, bergamot, cardamom, elderflower, lemon peel and cherries. The pink colour is obtained through the maceration of cherries in the finished gin, rather than by adding artificial colouring. The choice of botanicals emphasises a balance between citrus brightness, floral delicacy and gentle spice, while the juniper berry maintains a clear gin structure.

On the nose, 1836 Organic Pink Gin shows a combination of fresh cherry notes and juniper, accompanied by aromas of orange and lemon peel and a light floral touch from elderflower. The first impression on the palate is fruit driven, with red fruit and citrus standing out, followed by a gradual development toward more floral and subtly spicy tones from cardamom and the underlying botanicals. The texture is smooth, and the finish brings together soft cherry, juniper and citrus zest, with a discreet warmth that reflects the measured alcohol level of 37.5 percent.

The gin can be enjoyed neat at room temperature to appreciate its aromatic range, as suggested by the producer, but it is also well suited to long drinks and cocktails.
