Gins to love!

44°N Gin is produced in Grasse, the historical center of French perfumery, where Comte de Grasse applies extraction techniques inspired by fragrance creation to the world of gin. The distillery combines traditional distillation with modern methods such as ultrasonic maceration and CO2 supercritical extraction to preserve the most delicate aromatic molecules. This approach allows each botanical to contribute clearly to the final structure of the gin while maintaining a precise balance.
The gin incorporates 22 botanicals sourced locally and regionally when possible, including cade, bitter orange, immortelle, mimosa, lavender, jasmine, rose centifolia petals, honey, Alexanders seeds, samphire, and citrus peels. On the nose, bright citrus layers of lemon and grapefruit dominate, enhanced by subtle marine notes from samphire and warm woody nuances from cade. The aromatic intensity recalls the landscapes and vegetation surrounding Grasse.
On the palate, 44°N Gin begins with floral tones, particularly jasmine and centifolia rose, followed by herbal notes from angelica and verbena. The mid-palate reveals a gentle spiciness from Sichuan pepper and Alexanders seeds. Honey and orris root introduce a soft, textured sweetness accompanied by a faintly powdery feel. The finish is long, warm, and aromatic, combining citrus zest, floral depth, and the characteristic woody smokiness of cade.
With its expressive yet controlled profile, this gin performs well in a simple gin and tonic using a neutral tonic water to highlight its floral and citrus brightness. It also works well in cocktails such as a Martini or a French 75, where its perfume-inspired structure can bring additional complexity.
