Gins to love!

Hendrick's Orbium is a reinterpretation of the original Hendrick's Gin created by Master Distiller Lesley Gracie. Introduced as a limited release, Orbium was designed to explore the bitter spectrum traditionally associated with classic cocktails. Its profile is shaped by three key additions that echo historical ingredients found in drinks such as the gin and tonic and the martini. Quinine, wormwood and blue lotus blossom form the characteristic signature of Orbium, creating a profile that is recognisably Hendrick's while diverging into a more complex and contemplative direction.
The gin is distilled in Scotland following the same dual-method process as the original Hendrick's, combining spirits produced in a Bennett still and a Carter Head still. This approach allows for a balance between richer, deeper notes and lighter aromatic expressions. The base botanicals include juniper, coriander, angelica root, cubeb, chamomile, elderflower, caraway seeds, meadowsweet, yarrow and citrus elements, each contributing structure and texture to the final spirit.
On the nose, Orbium presents floral and herbal notes interwoven with subtle bitterness. The palate reveals layered flavours where the quinine brings a dry and slightly sharp character, the wormwood introduces a gentle amaro-like quality and the blue lotus blossom adds an unusual floral depth. The mouthfeel is smooth, with a progression from herbal tones to a lingering, refined bitterness on the finish. This profile makes Orbium particularly suited to cocktails that benefit from structure and complexity, including variations on the gin and tonic, the martini or more experimental aperitif-style drinks.
