Magellan Gin

Magellan Gin is a French gin created in homage to the great explorer Ferdinand Magellan, symbolizing a journey through spices and distant botanical influences. It is produced in France using a carefully structured recipe built around eleven botanicals, selected for balance and aromatic depth.

The base of the gin rests on juniper berries, supported by coriander and a broad spectrum of spices including cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cassia bark and grains of paradise. Orange peel brings a measured citrus lift, while licorice root rounds the palate with gentle sweetness. Iris root, traditionally used in perfumery and spirits, plays a key role in both aroma and appearance, giving the gin its naturally occurring pale blue hue.

On the nose, Magellan Gin opens with floral and lightly spicy aromas, followed by warm, exotic spice notes. The palate is structured and aromatic, combining herbal freshness with spice-driven complexity and a smooth texture. The finish is long, dry and subtly floral. This gin performs well in a classic gin and tonic, where its spice profile can fully express itself, and also works effectively in cocktails that highlight aromatic depth.
