Gins to love!

Whitley Neill Brazilian Lime is a flavoured gin from the Whitley Neill range, built on a classic gin foundation and lifted by a pronounced lime-led citrus character. It follows the brand’s established approach of pairing a traditional botanical structure with a single, clearly identifiable fruit theme, in this case Brazilian lime.
The base profile is anchored by juniper and a familiar core of gin botanicals such as coriander seed, angelica root, orris root and cassia bark. These elements provide the dry, resinous and gently spiced framework expected from gin. Against this structure, citrus components bring brightness and definition: lemon and sweet orange contribute zest and sweetness, while lime is the signature accent that drives the overall aromatic impression.
On the nose, the first impression is fresh citrus peel with an evident lime note over piney juniper. Behind the top notes, coriander adds a lightly peppery, lemony lift, and cassia introduces a warm spice tone that rounds the aroma without dominating it.
The palate starts crisp and bright. Lime and mixed citrus peel lead, followed by juniper and a dry herbal backbone. Angelica contributes an earthy dryness, while orris adds a subtle floral and powdery nuance that helps the citrus feel more structured rather than purely sharp. Cassia offers a gentle warming edge through the mid-palate.
The finish remains clean and dry, with lingering citrus oils, juniper resin and a soft, warming spice note. In serve, this style is typically well suited to a gin and tonic that keeps the citrus centre stage, and it can also work in simple highballs where lime-driven freshness is desirable.
