Gins to love!

Windspiel Premium Dry Gin is produced in the volcanic Eifel region of Germany. The brand draws inspiration from the historical connection between the region and the cultivation of potatoes, as well as from the British heritage associated with the Windspiel dog, a symbol of elegance and refinement. The distillery was founded with the intention of combining regional agricultural identity with the stylistic framework of a classic Dry Gin.
A distinctive feature of Windspiel Premium Dry Gin is its base spirit, which is distilled from potatoes grown in the mineral-rich volcanic soils of the Vulkaneifel. This potato distillate contributes to a notably smooth and rounded texture while preserving the structural dryness expected of the category.
The botanical composition includes juniper berries as the structural backbone, supported by coriander and cinnamon for gentle spice. Lavender adds a floral lift, while ginger root contributes subtle warmth. Lemon peel provides brightness and definition, ensuring balance between freshness and depth.
On the nose, juniper and citrus lead, followed by floral nuances and light spice. The palate is dry and precise, yet texturally smooth due to the potato base. Herbal and earthy undertones appear mid-palate, with controlled spice and a clean citrus lift. The finish is medium to long, dry and elegant, with lingering juniper and a restrained floral echo.
Windspiel Premium Dry Gin performs well in a classic gin and tonic with a neutral or dry tonic, where its texture and aromatic clarity remain evident. It is equally suited to stirred cocktails such as a Dry Martini, where its structure, dryness and subtle floral elements can be appreciated without dilution of character.
