Gins to love!

Hostile is a powerful and uncompromising gin created by the French Booze Project, conceived as a tribute to extreme environments and the botanicals that thrive under harsh conditions. The name reflects both the intensity of its flavour profile and the origins of several of its key ingredients, sourced from regions known for their rugged climates and challenging terrains.
Built on a classic juniper base, Hostile explores the aromatic and sensory potential of peppers and berries from across the globe. Sichuan pepper brings its characteristic tingling sensation and citrusy lift, while Timur pepper adds bright, zesty notes reminiscent of grapefruit. Tasmanian berry contributes a darker, slightly fruity and spicy nuance, reinforcing the gin’s depth and complexity. Citrus fruits are used to structure the profile and enhance freshness, balancing the heat and intensity of the spices.
On the nose, Hostile opens with a bold citrus expression dominated by lemon and grapefruit, quickly followed by vibrant peppery aromas. The palate is assertive and structured, combining vivid citrus acidity with the warming, mouth-tingling character of Sichuan and Timur peppers. Subtle fruity accents emerge mid-palate, adding contrast and roundness. The finish is long, dry and persistently spicy, leaving impressions of pepper, citrus zest and a faint berry-like note.
Bottled at 48.3% ABV, Hostile is designed for experienced gin enthusiasts seeking intensity and character. It can be enjoyed neat or over ice to fully appreciate its structure, and it also performs well in a gin and tonic with a restrained, neutral tonic that allows its bold profile to remain at the forefront.
