Gins to love!

Uppercut Dry Gin is a Belgian gin developed by Manuel Wouters, created with the intention of delivering a powerful and uncompromising interpretation of gin. While the brand is Belgian, the distillation is carried out in the Netherlands at the Zuidam Distillery, a family owned distillery known for its traditional copper stills and precise botanical distillation techniques.
The recipe is built around a broad and carefully selected range of botanicals, distilled to achieve a high level of aromatic intensity. Juniper forms the backbone of the profile, supported by classic structural botanicals such as coriander seed, angelica root and orris root. A wide selection of herbs, leaves and spices including lavender, sage, hyssop, wormwood and cubeb berry contributes to the gin’s complex and layered character.
On the nose, the gin opens with pronounced juniper and citrus zest, followed by herbal and spicy nuances. The palate is powerful and dry, with clear juniper structure, citrus freshness from lemon and orange peel, and a deep herbal bitterness shaped by wormwood, bay leaf and other botanicals. The mouthfeel is firm and warming, reflecting its high alcohol strength, and the finish is long, spicy and persistently herbal.
With its elevated alcohol volume of 49.6%, Uppercut Dry Gin is particularly well suited to bold gin and tonic serves where dilution allows its complexity to unfold. It also performs well in classic cocktails that benefit from a strong botanical backbone and a dry, assertive profile.
