Gins to love!

Tobermory Hebridean Mountain Gin is distilled on the Isle of Mull at Tobermory Distillery, which has produced spirits since the late 18th century. The gin reflects the botanical landscape of the Inner Hebrides, with heather, rowan berries, rosehips and locally sourced tea used to build an aromatic profile that references the island’s terrain and vegetation.
A small proportion of Tobermory new make spirit is incorporated into the base, a distillate normally destined for whisky maturation, which contributes a light cereal note and depth to the final texture. The gin is bottled at 43.3% ABV and maintains a clean structure in which juniper is present alongside floral and herbal components rather than dominating them.
On the nose, the gin shows clear heather florality supported by fresh citrus and a light resinous juniper tone. Rowan berry introduces a subtle tartness and tea contributes a soft tannic dryness. The palate continues with measured citrus, herbal lift and mild ginger warmth, with rosehip adding a faint fruit note without sweetness.
The finish is dry and moderately persistent, with heather and citrus returning before a hint of spice. The gin is suited to classic long serves such as gin and tonic prepared with a restrained garnish to avoid masking the floral structure. Tobermory Hebridean Mountain Gin has been recognised in spirits competitions, including awards at the World Gin Awards.
