Gins to love!

June Royal Pear & Cardamom is a French gin liqueur created by Maison Villevert, the house behind G'Vine Gin in the Cognac region. It is built on a grape-based gin distilled from Ugni Blanc grapes and vine blossoms, then enriched with a natural infusion of royal pear and cardamom. The result sits between a classic gin and a fruit liqueur, combining a clear botanical backbone with a generous pear character and gentle spice.
In production, the botanicals are first macerated in grape spirit before being distilled in copper stills. This distillate is then blended with a natural pear infusion that is delicately lifted by cardamom. The use of grape spirit instead of a traditional grain base brings a smooth, rounded texture, while Maison Villevert's focus on natural ingredients and careful blending keeps the profile precise and clean.
On the nose, June Royal Pear & Cardamom is fresh and fruity, with aromas of ripe pear, pear skin and white flowers supported by subtle juniper and a hint of green cardamom. On the palate, it is soft and well-rounded, offering juicy pear, light grape sweetness and a finely dosed cardamom note that brings warmth without becoming overpowering. The texture is silky and supple, making it very approachable while still retaining structure.
The finish is smooth and persistent, carried by lingering pear, gentle spice and a faint floral impression. Sweetness remains controlled, allowing the fruity and spicy elements to stay in balance rather than tipping into a dessert-like profile.
June Royal Pear & Cardamom is typically enjoyed well chilled over ice, with a simple tonic and a slice of pear or lemon, or paired with ginger beer in a mule-style serve. It also works in spritz-style cocktails with sparkling wine or in light twists on classics where a pronounced pear note and moderate sweetness are desired, always keeping the focus on its natural pear and cardamom character.
