Gins to love!

Archange Gin is a Belgian gin produced by Distillerie Moulin du Loup and created by Jimmy, a French teacher, and Mathias, one of his former students who became a mixologist. Bottled at 38.1% ABV in 50 cl format, it was designed as a balanced, characterful gin built around the contrast between round, fruity sweetness and fresh, aromatic top notes.
The aromatic profile is structured around almond and peach, which bring softness and a sensation of ripe fruit, combined with bergamot, lavender and Timut pepper. Bergamot contributes a clear citrus note with a slightly zesty, fragrant character, while lavender adds a floral touch. Timut pepper, known for its natural grapefruit-like aroma, introduces both gentle spice and additional citrus nuance. Juniper provides the classic gin backbone, supporting these more expressive flavours without overwhelming them.
On the nose, Archange Gin opens with notes of sweet almond and ripe peach, followed by bright, fragrant hints of bergamot. Floral tones of lavender appear in the background, and the Timut pepper brings a light, peppery and citrusy lift. The overall impression is soft yet precise, with fruit, flowers and citrus clearly defined.
On the palate, the attack is smooth and rounded, marked by almond and peach. The texture is supple, with a perceived sweetness that remains controlled. Bergamot then brings freshness and a fine bitterness that lightens the mid-palate, while lavender adds delicate floral nuances. Timut pepper develops gradually, with a tingling sensation and aromas reminiscent of grapefruit zest and mild pepper. The finish is medium in length, with lingering notes of peach, almond and bergamot, accented by a subtle echo of Timut pepper.
Archange Gin can be enjoyed in a classic gin and tonic with a neutral or Mediterranean style tonic water, served over plenty of ice. Garnishes such as a slice of peach, a strip of citrus peel or a small sprig of lavender can underline its main aromatic themes. It also works well in fruit-forward cocktails or in a gin sour where its combination of fruit, citrus, floral notes and gentle spice can stand out without dominating other ingredients.
