Amuerte Green Edition is a Belgian gin created by the Amuerte team as a limited-edition expression built around Peruvian coca leaves and the tropical curuba fruit, also known as banana passionfruit. Bottled at 43% ABV, it continues the Amuerte Coca Leaf Gin range in which each edition highlights a specific extra botanical. In this Green Edition, the combination of coca leaves, curuba and classic gin botanicals such as juniper, coriander and cardamom gives the spirit its character, presented in the brand’s distinctive bottle decorated with 24-carat gold details.

On the nose, Amuerte Green Edition shows a blend of ripe tropical fruit and bright citrus, with notes reminiscent of passionfruit, banana and peach coming from the curuba, supported by juniper and fresh herbal tones. Subtle bitter nuances of coca leaf, together with finger lime and Sichuan pepper, bring a gently tangy, zesty impression and a light peppery lift.

On the palate, the gin is fresh and moderately full-bodied, with a clear juniper base wrapped in exotic fruit flavours. Curuba provides a soft, sweet-and-tart profile that recalls passionfruit with a tropical, peach-like finish, while coca leaves add a delicate, dry bitterness that keeps the sweetness in check. Coriander, cardamom and Sichuan pepper contribute spicy and slightly balsamic notes, and finger lime underlines the citrus dimension. The finish is long, with lingering tropical fruit, herbal freshness and a fine, gently bitter echo from the coca leaves.

Amuerte Green Edition is often enjoyed in a gin and tonic, typically with a classic or neutral tonic water to let the curuba and coca notes stand out, and a garnish such as lime or a slice of exotic fruit. It also works in fruit-forward cocktails where its tropical and citrus elements can play a central role, for example in variations on the Tom Collins or in simple long drinks built on passionfruit or citrus mixers.
