Gins to love!

Arduenna Gin is a 100% organic Belgian gin created by the Arduenna Spirit Company to capture the character of the Ardennes. Launched in 2021 by founders Martin Bertrand and François Hutin, it is distilled in collaboration with the Radermacher Distillery, founded in 1836 and recognised as one of Belgium's historic distilleries. The name Arduenna comes from a Celtic term meaning wooded heights, a direct reference to the forests and landscapes that inspire the gin.
The recipe brings together ten botanicals, with a core built around juniper berries, angelica root, coriander seeds and cardamom, complemented by bergamot, mirabelle plums, elderflower and fir. Mirabelle plums provide a soft, honeyed fruit note, while elderflower adds floral lift and fir delivers a fresh, resinous dimension reminiscent of coniferous woodland.
On the nose, Arduenna Gin opens with fragrant elderflower and ripe mirabelle, supported by piney juniper and a hint of fir. Citrus notes of bergamot bring brightness, while cardamom and coriander seeds introduce a discreet spicy and herbal background.
On the palate, the texture is smooth and rounded. The attack is marked by mirabelle plum and elderflower, with citrus accents of bergamot and a clear, pine-like juniper structure. As the flavours develop, angelica root and coriander seeds contribute earthy and herbal nuances, and cardamom provides gentle warmth. The finish is moderately long and fairly dry, with lingering impressions of plum, citrus zest and subtle coniferous and spicy notes.
Arduenna Gin has received multiple international distinctions, including a bronze medal at the World Gin Awards 2023 in the Organic Gin category, a gold medal at Gin of the Year London 2023, several trophies in European spirits competitions and a silver medal at the World Drinks Awards, confirming both the quality of the liquid and the coherence of the project.
Served with a neutral premium tonic water, Arduenna Gin highlights its mirabelle, elderflower and fir trio and can be garnished with a strip of lemon or bergamot peel, or a small sprig of herb. It also works well in classic cocktails such as a Gin and Tonic, Gin Fizz or a light Negroni style where its fruity and coniferous character can clearly express itself.
