LièGin Original

LièGin Original is a Belgian organic gin developed in Liège as the foundational expression of the LièGin range. The project was conceived to create a gin that reflects local identity while remaining accessible and balanced, with a clear aromatic profile suited to both classic serves and modern mixology.

The recipe is built around juniper as the structural backbone, ensuring a clear gin identity, and is complemented by a selection of red and black fruits. These fruit elements are used to bring freshness and roundness rather than sweetness, shaping a profile that remains dry and readable.

On the nose, juniper appears first, followed by a fresh fruit impression that evokes red berries and darker fruit notes. Herbal nuances add depth and prevent the profile from becoming overly fruit-driven.

On the palate, the gin is smooth and well balanced. Juniper provides structure, while the fruit components bring a soft, juicy character through the mid-palate. Herbal notes extend the aromatic range and contribute to a clean, controlled evolution.

The texture is supple, with a moderate weight that supports dilution. The finish is fresh and persistent, marked by fruit and herbal echoes supported by juniper. LièGin Original is particularly well suited to a classic Gin and Tonic with a neutral tonic, as well as simple cocktails that allow its fruit-driven yet balanced profile to remain clearly expressed.
