BUSS N°509 Midi Cut Gin is produced in Belgium by Buss Spirits as part of the N°509 Choice Cut Collection, a series that focuses on clearly defined botanical profiles. Midi Cut is built around Mediterranean and Provençal herbs, with rosemary, thyme, marjoram and basil giving the gin its herbal backbone. The spirit is distilled from 100% pure grain and a wide range of fresh botanicals, herbs and fruit, including juniper berries, coriander seeds, laurel, fresh oranges and lemons, liquorice root, angelica, vanilla, cardamom and iris root.

On the nose, Midi Cut shows an immediate impression of southern herbs, where laurel and rosemary are closely followed by thyme and marjoram. Citrus from fresh oranges and lemons brings a bright top note above the classic juniper structure, while underlying spice from cardamom and subtle sweetness from vanilla and liquorice root create additional depth without turning the profile sweet. The palate confirms this balance, with a dry and clean texture that carries herbal intensity, citrus lift and a measured warmth from the 45% alcohol, finishing on a persistent mix of juniper, bay leaf and soft spice.

The gin is classified as a distilled gin and is produced in small batches from 100% grain spirit and fresh botanicals, without the use of colourants, preservatives or postdistillation sweetening. The clear appearance reflects this production choice. Midi Cut has been recognised in competition, notably with a Silver medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in 2018, an award based on blind tasting and technical assessment.

In service, BUSS N°509 Midi Cut Gin is often paired with a classic neutral tonic to highlight its herbal and citrus character. Garnishes typically remain simple, such as a sprig of thyme, a piece of bay leaf or a strip of lemon or orange zest, so as not to obscure the Mediterranean herb profile.
