Gins to love!

1836 Organic Gin is produced by Distillerie Radermacher, a Belgian distillery founded in 1836 and known for its long-running expertise in traditional spirit production. The gin forms part of the distillery's organic range, which is developed in accordance with certified organic standards and highlights botanicals cultivated without synthetic additives. This expression is built around a selection of eleven botanicals, including juniper berries, bergamot, coriander, angelica root, cardamom, cinnamon, lavender, elderflower, lemon peel and orange peel.
The production relies on techniques that aim to preserve the natural aromatic structure of each botanical. The ingredients are macerated and distilled in small batches, allowing the individual components to express their characteristic aromas. Citrus elements such as bergamot, lemon peel and orange peel provide brightness and lift, while floral notes from lavender and elderflower offer softness and complexity. Juniper remains the backbone of the gin, supported by coriander and angelica root, which contribute herbal and earthy nuances. Cardamom and cinnamon add a subtle spiced depth without overwhelming the overall balance.
On the nose, the gin reveals fresh citrus aromas layered with floral accents. The palate develops with a clean juniper presence that gradually expands toward herbal and earthy notes, followed by the warmth of delicate spices. The texture is smooth and well-integrated, leading to a refined finish where citrus and floral elements remain prominent.
With an alcohol volume of 43 percent, 1836 Organic Gin can be used in a wide range of serves. It works in a classic gin and tonic with a citrus garnish to highlight its fresh aromatic profile, and it also pairs well with cocktails that benefit from a bright and structured gin base, such as a Martini or a French 75.
