Gins to love!

Aéquatis is distilled in the Molignée Valley by the historic Abbey of Maredsous distillery-herboristery, an establishment recognized for its monastic expertise in herbal preparation. Drawing on a long-standing knowledge of wild flora and traditional botanical extractions, the distillers approach gin production with a focus on certified organic grains and carefully selected local plants. The botanical selection, which includes juniper berries, artemisia, hawthorn, ash, meadowsweet, fir buds and hazel, reflects the natural ecosystem of the Ardennes and the surrounding woodlands.
On the nose, Aéquatis opens with a clean juniper core supported by subtle resinous fir aromas and dried meadow herb nuances. The palate reveals a precise balance between organic grain roundness, floral depth from meadowsweet and the slightly bitter plant backbone associated with artemisia. The texture remains smooth and dry, with restrained fruit accents and a discreet woody presence that lingers without heaviness.
Its distillation process follows a traditional copper still method aligned with the organic certification requirements of the house, ensuring that no artificial flavoring or synthetic extracts interfere with the natural identity of the botanicals. Aéquatis has been awarded gold medals at the Frankfurt International Trophy and the Concours International de Lyon, acknowledgments based on blind tasting and technical evaluation criteria.
Aéquatis can be enjoyed neat to appreciate its herbal precision, or paired with a neutral tonic to preserve its botanical integrity. Classic cocktail formats such as a dry martini or a balanced gin and tonic with a simple citrus garnish highlight its clean aromatic line without overpowering its organic structure.
