Gins to love!

Nordes Gin originates from Galicia, a region in northwestern Spain known for its Atlantic climate, green landscapes and long-standing winemaking culture. The distillery behind the gin chose to anchor its identity in this local heritage by basing its spirit on Albariño grapes, a variety traditionally used for the region's white wines. This choice of base alcohol gives Nordes a distinctly smooth and aromatic foundation, setting it apart from grain-based gins.
The botanicals used in Nordes reflect both regional influences and broader herbal traditions. The recipe includes juniper, hibiscus, licorice, eucalyptus, sage, tea and citrus peels. Each botanical is distilled separately before blending, a technique intended to preserve the clarity and precision of each aromatic component. This method contributes to the gin's characteristic softness and its balance between floral, herbal and fruity notes.
On the nose, Nordes presents fresh floral tones alongside hints of white fruit from the Albariño base. The palate opens with gentle citrus and herbal notes, followed by eucalyptus, sage and juniper. The texture is rounded and mildly sweet, with a smooth progression toward a clean, lightly aromatic finish. Its overall profile is fresh and approachable, with an emphasis on bright botanicals rather than strong juniper intensity.
Nordes is often served with neutral or lightly aromatic tonics to preserve its delicate profile. It pairs well with garnishes such as white grapes, bay leaves or citrus peels, and works effectively in long drinks or cocktails that highlight its soft herbal character.
