Lime WedgeFour Pillars Navy Strength Gin takes the citrus and spice character of the distillery and gives it a stronger frame. At 58.8% ABV, it is powerful, but the interest is not only the alcohol: finger lime, whole orange, ginger, turmeric, coriander, cardamom and lemon myrtle give the gin a lively, warm and very aromatic profile.
The nose opens with fresh citrus, especially lime and orange, before moving toward ginger and cardamom. On the palate, the higher strength gives grip to the botanicals. Finger lime keeps the attack sharp, turmeric and ginger bring warmth, and juniper stops the drink from becoming a spiced citrus spirit. The finish is long, dry and energetic.
This is a gin for drinks that need intensity. It can handle tonic, ginger ale, citrus and ice without disappearing, and it is also useful in cocktails where a standard-strength gin would be too quiet. The best results come when dilution opens the citrus and spice rather than hiding the strength.
For the Perfect Serve, ginger ale and lime work well because they match the gin’s heat and citrus. The drink should be tall, cold and precise, with enough mixer to make the aromas readable but not so much that the Navy Strength character disappears. The import-ready version uses 12 cl of Fever-Tree Ginger Ale, with lime wedge.
Compared with a softer citrus gin, this one asks for firmer dilution and a garnish with real acidity. That is why lime is useful: it keeps the heat lively, prevents the ginger ale from feeling too round, and leaves the finish dry enough for a second sip.
The gin is also a practical cocktail bottle. Its higher strength makes it reliable in drinks with citrus juice, ginger or bitters, because it keeps aroma and structure where a lighter gin might fade.
