Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin Description

Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin was created for bitter aperitif drinks, especially the Negroni. It keeps a gin base, but the recipe leans into blood orange, grains of paradise, cubeb, ginger, cinnamon, cassia and cardamom so it can stand up to vermouth, bitters and ice.

The nose is orange-led, warm and spicy. Blood orange gives colour and a bitter citrus edge, while ginger and cinnamon bring heat. On the palate, cubeb and grains of paradise add a peppery line, and cassia gives depth without making the gin taste sweet. The finish is dry enough for cocktails.

This is not the bottle to choose for a neutral gin tonic. Its strength is direction: it knows it wants bitterness, citrus and spice. It works well in Negroni variations, short drinks over ice, spritz-style aperitifs and tonic pours where the garnish can reinforce the orange rather than fight it.

The Perfect Serve should underline the bitter orange character. A blood orange garnish, plenty of ice and a mixer that keeps the drink crisp are enough. The goal is to make the spice and citrus clearer, not to soften the gin into a sweet orange drink. The import-ready version uses 12 cl of a dry tonic, with blood orange slice.

In a Negroni, it can reduce the need for extra orange garnish because the gin already carries that bitter citrus line. In a tonic, the same character needs restraint: too much sweetness would blur the spice and make the drink feel heavier.

It is worth naming the use clearly: this is a gin for bitter orange cocktails and aperitif drinking. When described that way, the spice becomes useful information rather than a vague promise of intensity.
