Junimperium opened its distillery in Tallinn's Telliskivi quarter in early 2019, after more than a year of trials. Its Sloe Gin was named World's Best Sloe Gin at the 2021 World Gin Awards and an Estonian Country Winner at the same awards in 2025. The producer offers it in a 700 ml bottle and suggests it neat as a digestif after a meal, or over ice with lemonade for a longer drink.
Junimperium also uses it in cocktails such as the Sloe Royale, a sparkling serve. For this drink, pour 4 cl of Sloe Gin into a champagne flute without ice and top with 8 cl of chilled sparkling wine. Place fresh sloes on a small dish beside the glass. The sparkling wine lengthens the fruity gin and adds a fine, lively sparkle to the red sloe fruit.
