Distilled Gin · 48 % ABV · AU
Orange and strawberry gum give Banks & Solander Signature Gin its first lift, a floral citrus that stays clear beside the juniper. The gin is pot-distilled in Botany, Sydney, and bottled at 48% ABV. Its recipe pairs juniper, orange, anise and cardamom with Australian botanicals: strawberry gum, lemon myrtle, roasted wattleseed and Tasmanian pepperberry.
Citrus · Spicy · Floral
The citrus arrives with a soft, blossom-like quality rather than a sharp lemon edge. Anise and cardamom add a warm, gently sweet spice to the middle of the palate, and roasted wattleseed brings a darker note close to cocoa without making the gin taste like a dessert. Lemon myrtleLemon myrtleThe leaf of an Australian tree with an intense lemon scent, purer than zest and without acidity.Glossary and Tasmanian pepperberry carry the finish, leaving a fragrant, slightly peppery echo after the orange has faded. At 48%, the gin has the weight to keep these details through a long drink. Strawberry gum, a eucalyptus with a berry scent, gives the citrus its floral side.
Signature is the house gin of Banks & Solander and the base of its Fig Gin. It won gold at the 2023 European Spirits Challenge and silver at the 2025 Sydney Royal Distilled Spirits Show. Its balance, with citrus at the front, spice in the middle and native botanicals at the end, also suits a dry MartiniDry MartiniGin and a little dry vermouth, stirred over ice and served in a well-chilled stemmed glass, with an olive or a twist.Glossary with an orange twistTwistA strip of peel twisted over the glass to release its oils, then dropped into the drink.Glossary.
