Best enjoyed with Schweppes Indian Tonic Water, garnished with
Rangpur Lime Wheel and
Mandarin Peel.
Distilled Gin · 40 % ABV · NZ
Rangpur lime takes the lead in this 40% seasonal gin from Geraldine Distillery. Its tasting profile pairs fresh lime with mandarin, then carries those citrus notes through the palate into a warm, gently spiced finish. Juniper remains part of the gin's botanical base, giving the fruit a drier frame than a citrus liqueur. The product is currently sold out at the distillery, making it a past seasonal release rather than a current everyday bottling.

The nose is direct and fresh, with lime zest at the front and mandarin lending a softer, sweeter citrus aroma.
The palate follows in the same order: juicy lime and mandarin arrive first, then settle into a warmer finish where spice becomes more noticeable. The transition is important to the style. The fruit feels bright but not candy-like, and the juniper helps preserve a dry ginDry ginGin with no perceptible sweetness: in the European Union, the word "dry" allows at most 0.1 g of sugar per litre.GlossarySee Dry gin gins character underneath it. Rangpur lime gives the recipe its identity and distinguishes it from the distillery's Citrus Gin, which is built around Gisborne oranges and lemons. Here, the lime-and-mandarin pairing creates a more concentrated citrus direction, leading to a subtly warm finish. The 40% strength carries those notes into a long drink without requiring a large measure. As a limited batch, the gin records a particular release from the producer's range, rather than suggesting that every Humdinger gin shares the same citrus recipe.

The tonic adds a dry quinine line, while the two garnishes repeat the product's central citrus notes without adding juice or syrup.
