Flavored Gin · IL
Hand-painted ceramic bottles from Hebron set Tavlin apart before the gin is even poured. The distillery was born in the Judean Mountains from a shared dream between two neighbours, Eli and Amir, and its name means spices in Hebrew. It works in small batchesSmall batchProduction in small quantities per distillation run, often in a small still. The term has no legal definition.Glossary, by hand and with traditional methods, from the Har Tov industrial zone, and each batch is poured into ceramic bottles decorated by artisans in Hebron, so no two bottles look exactly alike.

Spicy Gin is one of three recipes in the range, alongside a London DryLondon DryA style, not a place of origin: every flavour comes from distilling natural botanicals. After distillation only water and a trace of sugar may be added, with no flavouring or colouring.GlossarySee London Dry gins made with raw juniper, coriander and lemon zest, and a Floral Gin with juniper, cloves, liquorice and freshly picked Judean botanicals. Here the distillery adds jalapeño, ginger, peppercorns and cinnamon, together with regional spices picked by hand. Releases are numbered by batch, and the fourth batch of Spicy Gin won a bronze medal at The Gin Guide Awards in 2026, while the first and third batches have already sold out.
The spices are what define the glass. Ginger brings a sharp freshness, peppercorns and jalapeño add heat, and cinnamon rounds off the finish with a warmer, gently sweet spice. Juniper remains the base underneath, so the drink still reads as a gin rather than a chilli spirit, and the cinnamon keeps the heat from turning harsh. The heat builds slowly, which is why a first taste over ice is the best way to measure it before adding any mixer.
Tavlin suggests drinking it neat over ice or using it as the base of a cocktail that welcomes its spicy profile. In a long drink, a cold tonic, plenty of ice, a thin slice of ginger and a very small ring of chilli are enough; more chilli would hide the gin. It also suits a spicy Margarita-style sour or a Bloody Mary in place of vodka.
