1832 Summer Gin

Distilled Gin · 42 % ABV · GB-SCT

1832 Summer Gin takes its name from the year North Berwick Golf Club was founded, and the distillery made this limited batch with the club. For the 2025 release, hand-picked cherry blossom from North Berwick is joined by raspberries and plum skin from a neighbour's harvest. The result is floral and led by juniperJuniperThe one compulsory botanical: gin must taste predominantly of juniper. Its "berry" is really a small conifer cone, resinous and peppery.Glossary, with raspberry and cherry Bakewell notes. Bottled at 42% ABV, it brings together a local story and a deliberately seasonal recipe.

Limited Edition · Floral · Fruity

The blossom comes from Jenny's garden, while the raspberries and plums were grown by neighbour Neil Paton and harvested in 2025. North Berwick Golf Club, on the East Lothian coast, is among the oldest golf clubs in the world, and the gin celebrates that history with ingredients grown a few streets away. Cherry blossom sets the floral register; raspberry adds ripe fruit, and plum skin contributes another orchard note. Juniper remains at the centre, keeping the drink recognisably gin rather than a fruit spirit.

This was the fifth limited batch in the distillery's 1832 series. The club received 150 bottles for its members, and a further 50 were released by the distillery, individually numbered from 151 to 200. The small run makes this a harvest-led bottling, not a permanent flavour in the range. Its 70 cl format and 42% strength suit a measured pour, whether tasted neat or lengthened.

NB Distillery was founded in North Berwick in 2013 by Steve and Vivienne Muir, who started out experimenting in their kitchen before moving to a purpose-built, energy-neutral distillery in the town in 2018.
