44°N Miss Bigarade is the first limited release built around the 44°N gin from Comte de Grasse. Imagined and distilled in Grasse, it is bottled at 44% ABV in a 500 ml format. Bitter orange blossom is the central idea: the producer describes the use of neroli flowers, leaves and twigs, layered with the house botanicals rose centifolia, jasmine, verbena, lavender, mimosa and cade. The result brings together citrus, flowers and the green, woody parts of the orange tree.
Citrus · Limited Edition · Floral
Neroli and bitter orange give the nose a vivid, fragrant opening. Rose centifolia and jasmine soften the citrus with a floral tone, while verbena and lavender add a fresh herbal edge. The leaves and twigs of the bigarade tree contribute a greener, drier impression than orange juice or sweet peel would suggest. Cade and juniper give the finish a resinous, woody foundation. At 44%, the alcohol carries these distinct notes without turning the gin into a sweet orange liqueur.
Comte de Grasse places the gin's production in the perfume-making town of Grasse and describes the edition through botanical extraction and careful blending. Its composition builds on the aromatic identity of the original 44°N gin, then gives bitter orange blossom and rose centifolia a more prominent role. This is not simply a citrus-flavoured bottling: the flower, leaf and twig each contribute a different register, from floral brightness to dry green character. The numbered 500 ml bottle presents it as a distinct limited release.
A restrained Mediterranean tonic, clear ice and a curl of bitter orange peel make a natural long drink. Add a small edible orange blossom in the glass if available; the garnish should remain light so the neroli, rose and dry juniper stay clear. The quinine bitterness keeps the citrus from becoming candied, while the peel connects directly with the bigarade theme. A heavily sweet mixer would flatten the floral detail, so keep the proportion moderate and the garnish simple.
