British fruit meets Sipsmith's London Dry base in Very Berry, a limited release from the Sipping Series. The producer describes a blend of berry flavours and names red grapes, raspberries, blackcurrant leaves, dried cherries and dried sloes among the ingredients used for the release. It is bottled at 40.4% ABV. Juniper remains the known backbone, while the berries and citrus shape the seasonal character.
Limited Edition · Fruity
The tasting profile moves between forest fruit, citrus peel and pine. Sipsmith describes plum, cherry and cranberry, followed by bitter orange, candied orange and warming juniper. Those notes make the fruit more than simply jammy: bitter citrus and juniper keep the finish dry, while cherry rounds out the middle of the palate.
For a G&T, Sipsmith recommends 50 ml gin with 150 ml Fever-Tree Mediterranean tonic. Add plenty of ice and garnish with raspberry, blackberry and an orange twist. The berries echo the fruit notes, while orange lifts the more bitter citrus in the tonic. Keep the garnish fresh and avoid syrup; the gin already brings fruit to the glass, and the tonic supplies enough sweetness for a balanced long drink.
Very Berry is most at home in a relaxed summer serve, but its juniper and bitter orange give it enough structure for year-round cocktails. A simple G&T shows the contrast between red fruit, citrus and dry pine without disguising the base. The limited-edition label reflects the Sipping Series format, while the flavour remains straightforward to enjoy: a fruit-led nose, a fuller berry palate and a finish that returns to juniper and orange.
