Pink Spritz

Flavored Gin · 40 % ABV · FR

Pink Spritz from Gin by Fred is a French 40% gin made for a spritz-style drink. Its April 2026 batch was limited to 100 bottles. The recipe brings together juniper, bergamot, orange and blood orange with thyme, rosemary and purple sweet potato, giving the pink bottling a clear citrus-and-herb direction.

Citrus · Fruity · Herbal

Bergamot provides a fragrant lift, while orange and blood orange broaden the citrus character with a rounder, more vivid fruit note. Thyme and rosemary add a dry herbal contrast, and juniper keeps the profile anchored in gin. Purple sweet potato is part of the named recipe and is associated with the drink's pink appearance; it should not be confused with a sweetened fruit liqueur.

The 40% strength gives the gin enough structure to remain present when lengthened with tonic or sparkling wine. In a long drink, the citrus is naturally prominent, while thyme and rosemary prevent the drink from becoming simply fruity. A dry mixer keeps the balance refreshing. The modest batch size and limited release are useful context, but the glass is best judged by its lively orange notes and herbal finish.

For a gin and tonic, fill a balloon glass with clear ice, pour 5 cl of gin and add 12 cl of Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water, then stir gently once. Add a blood-orange wheel and a small thyme sprig to the drink. The orange repeats the citrus character of the recipe, thyme brings a restrained herbal note, and the tonic's herbal-citrus profile suits the bergamot. Omit extra syrup to keep the finish crisp.

As its name suggests, the gin also suits a spritz: 4 cl of gin, 6 cl of dry sparkling wine and 4 cl of soda over plenty of ice, with the same blood-orange and thyme garnish. Keep the sparkling wine dry and the proportions balanced; extra cordial would cover the distinction between bergamot, orange and the herbal finish.

Keep the garnish measured and the tonic well chilled. The selected citrus and botanical notes echo the verified profile of Pink Spritz without adding syrup or obscuring the gin.
