Eisvogel's 2025 Maple Edition was made for the eighth anniversary of the Regensburg gin workshop and limited to 450 bottles. Bottled at 46% ABV, it combines Tuscan juniper with Canadian Grade A maple syrup, orange and ginger. The idea began during a visit to a maple farm in Canada, which inspired the distillery to build a seasonal recipe around the syrup. The producer presents this release as a hand-distilled anniversary edition, sold in 50 cl bottles numbered by hand.

Juniper keeps the spirit grounded, while maple brings a rounded natural sweetness. Orange adds a bright peel-like note, and ginger gives the finish a gentle warmth. The producer describes the result as a deep, harmonious combination with an elegant spice character; the syrup softens the profile without concealing the citrus and botanicals.
Each edition is conceived and distilled by hand in the small Regensburg workshop, with its own bottle design and limited production. The Maple Edition is not simply a flavored variation of the standard gin: the maple ingredient, Canadian inspiration and anniversary release define this particular batch. Its 46% strength keeps enough structure to carry the richer sweetness.
For a long drink, pour 4 cl over ice and add 10 cl Indian tonic. Add a thin orange twist and a small slice of ginger to the glass; set another orange peel and a few ginger slices beside it. The citrus keeps the maple from feeling heavy, while ginger carries the warm finish into the next sip. Eisvogel releases a new anniversary edition each year, with a design made for that bottling. Here the Canadian maple idea meets the workshop's German production, while juniper keeps the drink firmly within a dry gin frame.
