Its name comes from Dergano, a district of northern Milan with a name the brand describes as older than the city itself: recorded in 1186 as a small settlement of Celtic origin, it is said to mean oak. Noam Shaked created the recipe during the COVID lockdowns on a home still, then refined it in a professional distillery. Dergano Gin Silver is made in Italy; its label, a silver diamond on clear glass, gives 40% vol. and 70 cl.
Citrus · Dry · Spicy · Floral
Twelve botanicals are arranged in three groups. The foundation, juniper, angelica root and coriander seed, is distilled together to form what the brand calls the soul of the gin. Then comes the light, with bergamot, bitter orange and sweet orange, and finally the composition: rose hip, cardamom, allspice, black pepper, cloves and cinnamon. Each of those nine is treated separately, with its own strength and duration, before the parts are blended.
The house describes a rich, rounded taste with a silky, spiced finish, and juniper clearly in the lead. The three oranges give the nose its brightness, bergamot adding a floral, tea-like lift, while the warm spices extend the finish without making the gin sweet. Rose hip brings a soft fruit note in the middle, while allspice and black pepper give the spice a slight bite and cloves and cinnamon a rounder warmth. In 2026, Dergano Gin Silver won a gold medal in the Traditional Gin category of The Gin Guide Awards.
The brand suggests it with tonic water, as a cocktail base or neat on the rocks. In a highball, a cold Indian tonic, a narrow grapefruit twist and a small coriander sprig echo the citrus and the coriander of the recipe. Its juniper-led profile also makes a short, very dry Martini with a twist of lemon.
