The grape origin matters for the base spirit, but it should not lead anyone to expect a glass of wine: the drink remains a distilled gin, with citrus and juniper at the front. The French vineyard connection gives the bottle its story without replacing the liquid's character.

Lemon and lime make the beginning bright, while linden blossom gives a softer floral note in the middle. Cubeb supplies a dry peppery touch, and angelica supports the finish. The base has a roundness that keeps those notes from becoming harsh. Taste a little neat and cool before mixing if you want to understand the contrast between citrus peel and flowers. A little water changes the balance, bringing the gentler botanical details forward while the juniper remains easy to find.

For a gin and tonic, use a modest amount of cold Indian tonic, large ice and one thin lime wheel. A small edible linden blossom adds a quiet link to the recipe. Put both in the glass and leave a little more beside it so the fresh aromas are clear before the first sip. The lime gives a clean lift without making the drink taste sharply sour. More tonic can always be added later; starting with less preserves the grape-spirit texture and the subtle floral finish. The citrus remains clear as the ice melts, making the drink pleasant to follow rather than merely refreshing at first.
