Orange PeelDandelion and burdock, the pairing behind a British soft drink of long standing, reappear here as a 43% ABV London Dry. Twin Peaks sells it in a 70cl bottle under the name The Autumn Warmer, and treats the two roots as a contemporary idea rather than a reproduction of the fizzy original.
Both roots pull the gin towards earthy, herbal ground. Dandelion brings a slightly bitter leafiness, burdock a darker, rooty sweetness, and the makers add warm spice to the description, which explains why this bottle is aimed at cooler weather. Juniper remains the backbone of any London Dry and keeps the recipe anchored, while the named roots give Jura its own identity within the range.
Twin Peaks was launched in 2025 by Nick and Jane Baker, siblings based just outside Norwich in Norfolk, who named the brand after their shared love of mountains and holidays in the Alps. Nick had been an assistant head teacher, Jane a quality manager in food and drink; they developed their recipes on a two-litre still before partnering with local Norfolk distilleries to scale up. Jura sits beside Signature, Summit and the higher-strength Blizzard.
Our serve uses a strip of orange peel and nothing else. Orange oils brighten the darker root notes without making the drink sweet. Tip 4cl of Jura onto large ice cubes, pour 10cl of a fresh Indian tonic, then express the peel over the surface and leave it in. Go gently with the mixer: a modest amount keeps the dandelion, the burdock and the spice legible instead of washing them out. Blizzard, the 57% version of the house recipe, won Gold in the high ABV category of the 2026 Gin Guide Awards, which gives an idea of the standard the pair are working to. Jura is the autumn end of that same project.
