See the perfect serveThirteen botanicals give Grace Gin Charis a distinctly Greek profile at 45.7% vol. in 700 ml and 200 ml. Eight classic botanicals flavour the base during continuous distillation, before myrtle, orange blossom and mastic from Evia, rock samphire from Crete and pink pepper complete the thirteen-botanical recipe.
Juniper and fresh pine lead the nose, followed by citrus peel and cardamom. Myrtle and rock samphire add a dry green character, while orange blossom softens the aroma. Pink pepper and cassia remain in the background as warm, fragrant spice. The palate is oily and robust, supported by the elevated strength. Juniper stays central as citrus, coastal herbs and pepper unfold around it. Mastic adds a resinous Greek accent, and the finish combines dry herbs with a controlled floral trace.
Created by three Greek friends and distilled in a copper pot still at Avantes Distillery on Evia, Grace Gin first appeared in 2017. Charis is the original recipe around which the later Grace range developed. Combine the Greek gin opened with Mediterranean tonic Mediterranean tonic. Orange peel and whole pink peppercorns match confirmed botanicals and keep the serve clear.
The two-stage botanical treatment explains the breadth of the profile. Familiar roots and seeds establish the gin structure first; Greek plants then add place-specific detail. Rock samphire and mastic are especially useful in this respect, bringing saline-green and resinous accents that could not be supplied by citrus and juniper alone.
