Le Gin de Namur Ma Belle Description

Le Gin de Namur Ma Belle was created by the Natèfs di Nameur and Namur Ma Belle as a tribute to love and to the city of Namur. Bottled at 40% ABV in a 50 cl format, it brings together gin, red fruits from orchards in the Namur region and rosé wine from Domaine du Ry d’Argent. Its pink colour is not a styling device: it comes from that blend of gin and wine.

Juniper keeps the gin family visible beneath the fruit. The red-fruit element gives the nose a soft, generous direction, while the rosé wine brings a vinous note and a naturally rounded feel. No particular berry is named in the recipe, so the character is best understood as a broad red-fruit accord rather than as raspberry, strawberry or blackcurrant.

The palate follows the same line. Fruit arrives first, the gin base gives it definition, and the wine component makes the middle of the mouth softer and more supple than a classic dry gin. The colour and aroma invite an easy first sip, yet the 40% strength keeps enough presence for the botanical base to remain part of the drink.

In a long drink, keep the build simple: 5 cl of gin over full ice, 10 cl of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water and a small garnish of mixed red fruits. The tonic brings lift without covering the rosé and fruit notes. Ma Belle also suits a chilled aperitif where its colour, fruit and wine-led character can be appreciated without adding a competing syrup or liqueur.

Ma Belle belongs to a very local reading of Belgian gin. The connection to Namur is not an abstract theme here: the fruit comes from local orchards and the rosé wine from Domaine du Ry d’Argent. That combination gives the bottle a clear place between gin, orchard fruit and wine.
