orange peel and edible rose petalChamomile, elderflower, heather, rose and lavender make Floral Alchemy the most flower-led gin in the Method & Muse range. Distilled in Golden, Colorado, and poured at the distillery’s Arvada tasting room, it is bottled at 47% ABV. California orange peel keeps this concentration of flowers from becoming powdery, while juniper gives the recipe the dry botanical point needed to remain recognisably gin.
Each flower occupies a different part of the palate. Chamomile brings a soft, earthy warmth; elderflower lifts the aroma; heather introduces a drier meadow quality. Rose petals provide a clear perfume and lavender adds a cooler herbal edge. Orange peel runs through those layers with juicy citrus, separating the floral notes and giving the middle of the palate more light.
The nose is immediately floral but not uniform: rose and elderflower arrive first, followed by lavender and the quieter, earthier tone of chamomile. Juniper becomes clearer in the mouth, where it steadies the flowers and leads towards orange. Heather and chamomile give the finish a dry, gently earthy character, while the 47% strength preserves definition and prevents the citrus or blossoms from fading too quickly.
Method & Muse recommends Floral Alchemy in a French 75, Corpse Reviver No. 2, Tom Collins and citrus-based drinks, and also names it as a preferred gin for a gin tonic. Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water, orange peel and one edible rose petal make a coherent long drink: the tonic’s herbs meet lavender and heather, while orange and rose remain bright above the glass.
