Gordon's Tropical Passionfruit Gin Description

Gordon's Tropical Passionfruit Gin brings the house's juniper-led style into a tropical register. Bottled at 37.5% ABV, it pairs the familiar Gordon's gin character with natural passionfruit flavours. The result is designed for an easy, refreshing long drink rather than a dense or sugary fruit spirit.

Passionfruit gives the nose a bright, tangy fruit note with a recognisable tropical perfume. Underneath it, the subtle juniper signature keeps the aroma connected to gin. That contrast is central to the style: ripe fruit up front, then a drier botanical line that prevents the glass from feeling heavy.

On the palate, tropical fruit arrives first and carries a lightly tart edge. Juniper reappears towards the finish, bringing a cleaner close and enough structure for tonic. The gin works best well chilled, when the fruit is lively and the botanical side remains distinct.

Gordon's own serve uses 50 ml of gin and 150 ml of tonic over ice, finished with fresh passionfruit in a copa glass. Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water provides a restrained quinine bitterness that keeps the garnish fresh and lets the juniper show through after the fruit.

The serve benefits from a deliberate contrast between ripe passionfruit and dry tonic bitterness. Use a spoonful of fresh pulp only if the fruit is aromatic, and do not add sugar: the gin already supplies the tropical note. With sufficient ice, the drink remains breezy and fragrant, and juniper becomes clearer as the first rush of fruit settles.

Its clear fruit profile also makes it easy to pair with light summer food, especially grilled prawns, fresh salads or simply salted nuts. The best match is something that shares the gin's freshness without adding a competing sweet flavour.
