Elephant Strength Gin Description

Elephant Strength Gin is the 57% ABV high-strength counterpart to Elephant London Dry Gin. It keeps the same fourteen botanicals as the original recipe, but uses them in greater quantity to build a more concentrated nose and a firmer palate. Juniper, orange peel, mountain pine and Cape buchu remain important markers of the gin's dry, aromatic identity.

The higher strength does not simply make the gin more powerful; it makes its botanical architecture easier to see. Juniper is more resinous, orange peel more vivid and the herbal, pine-like notes more insistent. Cape buchu contributes a cool, leafy aromatic note that gives the profile a distinctive southern African accent.

On the palate, the gin is full-bodied and dry, with a pronounced juniper core. Citrus peel supplies lift, mountain pine adds freshness and the stronger botanical load creates a long, peppery finish. A little dilution unlocks more citrus and herbal detail, which is why ice and a proper measure of tonic work particularly well.

For the official long serve, combine 50 ml of Elephant Strength Gin with 150 ml tonic over plenty of ice and add juniper berries. The tonic should be chilled and not overly sweet, so it can carry the high proof without covering the botanicals. It is also a natural choice for a Martini or a strong gin-forward cocktail.

Elephant Strength Gin is made for drinkers who enjoy a dry gin with real concentration. Its high proof intensifies juniper, citrus and mountain herbs, while a restrained serve keeps that intensity elegant.

Use a well-chilled, restrained tonic measure; it opens the 57% gin without flattening its juniper and pine notes.
