See the perfect serveGin Grezan Mediterranean Gin is a French organic gin from Chateau Grezan and the Cros-Pujol winegrowing family, bottled at 42% ABV. Its strongest idea is not generic Mediterranean imagery but the use of cade juniper, Juniperus oxycedrus, a wild juniper of the garrigue. The gin is made on a wine-based spirit, which links it directly to the estate's vineyard culture.
The nose carries resin, dry herbs and sunlit scrubland rather than bright tropical fruit. On the palate, cade juniper gives a firmer, more rustic aromatic line than common juniper alone, while savoury herbs, fennel-like freshness and gentle spice make the profile feel anchored in the South of France. The wine-spirit base can bring a little roundness, but the finish remains dry and herbal.
For the associated gin and tonic, pour 5 cl of Gin Grezan Mediterranean Gin over clear ice, add 12 cl of Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water and garnish with lemon peel plus a small fennel frond. Lemon freshens the resinous side; fennel echoes the garrigue without turning the drink vegetal. It is a gin to keep bright and dry, especially if served before a meal.
This is also one of the strongest terroir stories in the group, because the wine base and cade juniper are directly connected to the estate. The interest is concrete: garrigue, wine spirit, resin, herbs and dry spice. That precision makes the gin more credible and more useful for pairing with Mediterranean food.
The result is rooted, specific and much more interesting than a generic southern gin.
