See the perfect serveAngelicus Gin brings Sas Distilleries into the belgium gin landscape at 43% ABV. The gin draws on a historical medicinal-plant narrative linked to the Eighty Years’ War and is made in batches of about two hundred bottles. The result is intended to stay readable in the glass, whether served long or tasted with restraint.
Its documented botanical bill brings together Juniper berries, Angelica root. Juniper supplies a dry, resinous backbone. The vegetal, spice, citrus or fruit elements named in the recipe add contrast around it and prevent the profile from becoming one-dimensional. At 43% ABV, the gin has the concentration to stay legible as ice begins to melt and the drink opens in the glass.
On the nose, the first impression follows juniper and the freshest components of the recipe. The palate develops in stages: the opening highlights the brighter notes, the mid-palate brings forward the herbal or spicy framework, and the finish returns to a drier, more persistent line. The result rewards a measured, attentive tasting rather than a drink built on overt sweetness or a dominant garnish.
For the GinToLove Perfect Serve, fill a large balloon glass with clear ice, pour 4 cl of Angelicus Gin, add 10 cl of Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water, stir once and finish with Grapefruit and Lime. The serve is intentionally restrained: it extends botanicals already present in the gin and preserves a clean, fresh and balanced finish. Taste before adjusting the tonic: the first sip shows how the juniper, freshness and spice settle together as the ice slowly opens the drink.
