Shana's Gin - GEERZ 2026 Special is a handmade Israeli limited edition from Tavlin Distillery, bottled at 43% ABV. The small-batch release was created with the GEERZ community in honour of Shana, celebrating friendship, adventure and the people who bring communities together. Tavlin has stated that the release will not be reproduced once its small production run has sold through, giving the bottle a clearly finite place in the distillery's range.

The published profile names juniper, cloves, liquorice and botanicals associated with the Judean region. Juniper supplies the essential gin structure, cloves bring warmth and aromatic spice, and liquorice adds a naturally sweet, rounded note. The other Judean botanicals are not individually disclosed, so they are best understood as a regional botanical setting rather than a list to be guessed at. This keeps the recipe focused on its known elements and on its local inspiration.

The nose is expected to be led by juniper and clove, with a soft aniseed-like sweetness from liquorice.

On the palate, the 43% ABV bottling gives enough body for the spice to remain smooth rather than aggressive. Juniper keeps a dry line through the centre, while clove and liquorice build warmth and roundness around it. The finish is aromatic and gently spiced, with a welcoming sweetness balanced by the botanical frame of the gin.

Serve Shana's Gin over plenty of ice with a neutral tonic and a simple orange peel, keeping the glass uncluttered. The orange can brighten clove and liquorice without masking the gin's own aromas. It can also work in a short gin sour or a dry Martini variation, where a restrained garnish lets the juniper-and-spice profile remain the central feature.
