Edinburgh Gin Strawberry & Pink Peppercorn is a full-strength Scottish flavoured gin bottled at 40% ABV. It should not be confused with the brand's strawberry and pink peppercorn liqueur: this version is a gin, built on traditional gin botanicals and fresh Scottish strawberries. Pink peppercorns provide the defining contrast, turning a familiar berry note into a profile with more lift, fragrance and spice than a straightforward fruit-led gin.
Spicy · Floral · Fruity
The strawberry character is bright and ripe, with a soft jam-like fullness that remains connected to the gin's botanical base. Pink peppercorns are aromatic rather than aggressively hot; their contribution is floral, lightly peppery and gently perfumed. Juniper anchors the recipe with the dry, resinous character expected from gin. Together, the fruit and spice produce a profile that is immediately accessible while retaining enough structure for a proper mixed drink.
The nose opens on strawberry, followed by a fragrant peppercorn note and a touch of juniper.
On the palate, the fruit arrives with rounded sweetness, then pink peppercorn brings a more lifted, gently spicy line through the centre. The 40% strength keeps the texture firmer than a liqueur and lets the botanical elements remain present. The finish combines strawberry, floral spice and a dry juniper trace, leaving a vivid but composed final impression.
A classic tonic, plenty of ice and fresh strawberry slices make a natural serve, and this is the preparation promoted for the gin by specialist gin sources. Keep the garnish simple so the peppercorn remains audible. It also works in a fruit-led Collins, or in a sparkling aperitif built with a small measure of gin, dry sparkling wine and soda, where the strawberry and pepper character can stay bright rather than sweet.
