Black Fox Raspberry Gin is a Canadian flavoured gin made by Black Fox Farm & Distillery in Saskatchewan. It is bottled at 40% ABV and built around heirloom raspberries grown across six acres of the distillery's own farm. That farm connection matters here: raspberry is not an incidental flavouring but the fruit chosen to carry the gin's identity, joined by juniper and honey in a recipe that keeps one foot in classic gin and the other in ripe summer fruit.
Floral · Fruity
The profile centres on raspberry with a fresh, fragrant character rather than a candy-like one. Its berry note brings brightness and a soft tartness, while juniper supplies the dry coniferous backbone that prevents the fruit from becoming dominant. Honey rounds the fruit with a gentle floral sweetness. The result is a gin whose appeal comes from contrast: vivid raspberry at the opening, a clean botanical core, and a smoother finish than the fruit alone would suggest.
The nose is led by freshly picked raspberry, with a light floral lift and the familiar green-resinous touch of juniper beneath.
On the palate, the berry character is clear and juicy, balanced by a more restrained sweetness and a firmer gin structure. The 40% bottling gives enough body for the fruit to remain present when mixed. Its finish returns to raspberry and honey, with juniper keeping the final impression fresh rather than heavy.
A simple gin and tonic is an especially effective way to serve it: use plenty of clear ice, a neutral tonic and a few fresh raspberries. A small mint tip can add freshness, but a crowded garnish is unnecessary. Black Fox Raspberry Gin can also bring a berry-led variation to a French 75 or a Collins, and its rounded fruit profile makes it a natural choice for a light aperitif-style long drink.
