Patience Summer 2026 Gin is the summer expression from the family-run Patience Distillery in Kensal Green, London. It is bottled at 44% ABV in a run of one hundred individually numbered 500 ml bottles, giving the release a deliberately small and seasonal character. The distillery builds the gin around a clear summer register: grapefruit, mint, marjoram and Pelargonium Prince of Orange bring citrus, garden-herb and lightly floral tones to a juniper-ledJuniper-forwardA classic profile where juniper clearly dominates, with resinous, piney notes.Glossary base.
Citrus · Limited Edition · Spicy · Herbal
Each botanical is cold-distilled separately under reduced pressure before the final blend is assembled. This method is central to the style of the gin. Grapefruit, mint, marjoram and pelargonium each have a different aromatic intensity, and separate distillation keeps their individual character precise rather than allowing one element to dominate the whole. The result is a fragrant, sharply defined profile where bright citrus remains at the front while the green botanicals provide depth and lift.
The nose opens on grapefruit peel, a citrus-scented pelargonium note and fresh mint.
On the palate, ripe grapefruit supplies the main fruit impression, followed by soft green notes of mint and marjoram. A touch of candied ginger brings a gentle warming accent without moving the gin away from its fresh, herbal direction. The finish is clean and cooling, with grapefruit and garden herbs lingering after the spice has receded.
Serve Patience Summer 2026 Gin well chilled in a large glass over ice with a classic tonic and a slice of pink grapefruit. That simple serve keeps the gin's citrus line intact and lets the mint and marjoram appear gradually in the glass. Its focused grapefruit character also gives it a natural place in a French 75French 75Gin, lemon juice and sugar, topped with champagne. It is named after the French 75 mm field gun of the First World War.Glossary-style serve with lemon, a little sugar and sparkling wine, where the bubbles carry the botanical lift through the finish.
