Best enjoyed with Archibald French Tonic, garnished with thin lemon peel and small rosemary sprig.
See the perfect serveLe Gin Coeur Intense is the London Dry Gin from Distillerie du Mont Blanc, a French organic gin built with no flavouring, sugar or sweetener added after distillation. The base is organic wheat alcohol, while the botanical work is centred on juniper and a complex bouquet of traditional and alpine plants, roots, barks and fruits. At 41% alcohol, it aims for structure rather than raw strength, with a profile designed to remain elegant but intense enough for cocktails.
The production method is one of the most interesting parts of the bottle. The botanicals are not all macerated for the same duration or at the same alcoholic strength; they are added progressively according to the extraction needed. Ultrasound-assisted extraction is used during maceration to help release essential oils while preserving the natural character of the botanicals. Distillation then takes place in a copper Stupfler still, a French still style valued for precision, texture and aromatic fidelity.
On the nose, Coeur Intense keeps juniper at the centre, then opens toward floral, herbal and spicy nuances. The palate is silky rather than aggressive, with a clean botanical intensity and a fine dry line from the juniper. Slow reduction with pure, low-mineral water from Mont Blanc glaciers contributes to the polished texture. In service, it works well with a French or Mediterranean tonic, plenty of ice and a restrained lemon peel. The garnish should keep the gin bright and mountain-clean rather than making the serve too aromatic.
