Dehydrated Lemon WheelReisetbauer Blue Gin Vintage is an Austrian distilled gin from Reisetbauer, made with the precision associated with the distiller’s fruit brandy background and a vintage expression of Blue Gin. Blue Gin Vintage is clean, detailed and botanically articulate. It carries the Reisetbauer signature of clarity: every botanical has a role, and the profile aims for definition rather than decorative sweetness.
The recipe includes Mulan winter wheat, juniper berries, lemon zest, angelica root, coriander seeds, turmeric and licorice root. Wheat forms part of the spirit identity, lemon zest drives freshness, coriander and turmeric create spice, and angelica with licorice gives rooty depth and length. The vintage framing places the gin in a more specific production identity, with the emphasis on precise distillation and the quality of the aromatic raw materials.
The nose is bright and finely cut, with lemon zest, juniper and coriander at the front, followed by a warmer turmeric accent. The palate is dry, energetic and very clean: citrus gives lift, juniper provides grip, and the root botanicals bring a restrained earthy depth. The finish is crisp, spicy and elegant.
At 43% ABV, it performs well in a precise gin and tonic with lemon or rosemary, and it has the polish required for Martini-style cocktails. Its best use is in serves that preserve detail rather than burying it under heavy sweetness.
The appeal of this gin is its exactness. It does not need a loud garnish or a strongly flavoured mixer: the best serves let the lemon, juniper and warm spice remain visible. That restraint suits the Reisetbauer style, where aromatic clarity and distillation precision matter more than decorative effects.

Dehydrated Lemon WheelFill a balloon glass with dense ice and add 5 cl of Reisetbauer Blue Gin Vintage.
Pour 15 cl of Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water slowly, then stir with a light hand.
Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.
The lemon connects directly with the gin’s citrus zest, while the tonic leaves room for juniper, coriander, turmeric and the dry root botanicals.
Serve cold and precise: the drink should feel mineral, citrus-led and finely spicy.
