Thin Slice of Lemon PeelCin'Kin Gin Violette is a Belgian gin created by the Cin'Kin team, a small independent distillery project founded by gin enthusiasts from Ciney in the province of Namur. After exploring many gin distilleries in Belgium, the United Kingdom and Canada, the founders set out to reinterpret gin through a series of original recipes, including this violet expression. Distilled and bottled in Belgium, Cin'Kin Gin Violette continues the philosophy of the range: small-batch production, careful selection of botanicals and an emphasis on clearly defined flavour profiles.
At its core, Cin'Kin Gin Violette combines a classic juniper backbone with the delicate floral character of violet flowers and the freshness of citrus peels. A neutral grain spirit serves as the base for the maceration and distillation of juniper berries, violet and other selected botanicals. The result is a clear, lightly tinted gin with an aromatic nose where notes of violet are immediately recognisable, supported by juniper, subtle citrus zest and light fruity nuances.
On the palate, Cin'Kin Gin Violette is smooth and expressive. The first impression is floral, with violet and gentle perfume-like notes, followed by a refreshing citrus line and a hint of sweetness that remains measured rather than sugary. Juniper provides structure and keeps the profile firmly within the world of gin, while the blend of other botanicals adds depth and a discreet spicy and fruity background. The finish is clean and persistent, with lingering violet and citrus notes. This gin can be enjoyed neat or over ice, and is particularly well suited to long drinks such as a gin and tonic or spritz-style cocktails, where its floral and citrus accents can be highlighted with a neutral tonic and a simple garnish of lemon or orange zest.
